About Amy

Born and raised in northeast Ohio, Amy always aspired to have a career that involved making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. After completing four years of collegiate study in psychology, she began her career at General Electric, one of the world’s most successful and respected corporations. At GE , as a human resources training specialist, she developed personal wellness learning programs that transformed the employee experience in her organization. Lecturing during the work day on topics such as stress management, work/life balance, self esteem, and communication, Amy discovered her niche and went on to incorporate this same concern for the personal wellness of employees throughout her subsequent years as a human resources executive. After a successful career in the financial sector as a Senior Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Public Relations, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois, and two years later began a rigorous accredited certification program for professional life coaching through the International Coach Academy in Australia. Most recently, Amy founded Thrive Consulting, where she dares her clients to “trade the lives they’ve fallen into for lives they’ll fall in love with“.
